ECU Remapping
An engine remap is performed by writing a custom revised version of the vehicle’s firmware (program) onto the engine’s electronic control unit (ECU). Professional remapping is done using specialist hardware, software and knowledge. Remapping can have a massive impact on power, torque and even fuel efficiency depending on the loaded map. It’s important to note that there is no universal mapping standards; as such it’s always best to have a professional do the job right.
