Intake air temperatures are very important when it comes to your cars performance. There are a few different ways that car manufacturers deal with cooling down intake  temps. Mid mount intercooler, charge cooler and front mount intercooler.

Front mount intercoolers are way more efficient than mid mount (stock) intercoolers. This is due to the fact that its the first thing that the air gets in contact with, other than your grill of course. This allows your intercooler to cool down faster and that causes colder intake air temps. Avoid heat soak, make more power and looks great.
